All good things come to an end..

Last week ended the Lake Bryan era for our sweet pups! Both dogs absolutely LOVE this place and could walk themselves the few miles there and back by memory if they one day decided to just take themselves there. (Luckily this never happened and never would as both dogs do not run away and just stick the our yard) When we would turn left onto Sandy Point Road they would start to go crazy in the back seat and the craziness got more intense the closer we got. I know soon I am going to miss the excitement they had, but now I have to find some place new for them to love like they did the lake. I just have no idea how/where I will find such a place.

I thought I would share some of my favorites from the MANY trips we have taken to lake Bryan.

And here are some from our last day, poor pups had no idea it was going to be their last time :[

These two sweeties LOVE Lake Bryan and I hope we can find another place in the Magnolia area that they can love just as much!
Here are some other lake posts and pictures here, here, and here.

Sorry about the picture over load!

Beautiful Brazos Valley Weekend

What a beautiful weekend in the Brazos Valley!

I have been out of the blogging world lately - Michael was out of town for a week, the following week was filled with anticipation of a chance to move to Washington (we will not be moving there, well right now at least), and this week I hope to get back into the grove!

Friday night was relaxing for a change! We tried a new recipe and I forgot to take a picture, my bad. We hung out, caught up on some tv shows, and played with the pups!

Saturday, Michael’s parents came into town. We walked through the Memorial Student Center (MSC) for the first time in 3 years. Saturday was the grand re-opening of the MSC and it was amazing!! They added 71,000 sq feet and is now 400,000 sq feet. It was amazing to see how much of the old they kept in the new. The flag room looks almost the same, the feel of walking down the main hallway is the same, the marble steps are the same, and the same study areas Michael and I used our first 2 years are still there. But at the same time so much has changed. More study areas for students, more hangout areas with pool tables, foosball tables, televisions, and more conveniences all in one place. It was so nice to walk around and enjoy this wonderful building before we leave College Station one day soon.

We then went to a late lunch, early dinner at Lake Bryan. We have actually never eaten at the restaurant but have been to lake at least 100 times. And I wish we had not waited so long! It was delicious! Plus $2.00 frozen margaritas made it even better!

Came back to the house and I made a Dewberry Cobbler. Thanks to Andy and Michael for picking all these berries for me during my afternoon run on Thursday. With a few scoops of Bluebell this made a perfect spring dessert!

After we finished our yummy dessert we headed to campus for Aggie Muster. We got there about 10 minutes early and were turned away! Can you believe that?!?!! Reed arena, 12,500 seats, was FULL! It is amazing and upsetting at the same time. Amazing that so many Aggies came out and sad we could not participate in this yearly Aggie tradition. We then came back to the house and sat outside with the pups enjoying the beautiful weather!

Sunday we started the morning off with a nice long run at Lake Bryan. Came home got ready and met some friends at Hullabloo Diner, another off our bucket list (2 in one weekend!). Oh My Gosh, DELICIOUS!! After a little wait, worth every second of it, we got to step back in time as we walked into the old fashioned gem! Michael has been here a few times but it was the first time for the me and the other couple that joined us.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing with the pups, doing some housework, and getting Michael ready for tomorrows interview. I will keep you all updated on how it goes! After all the eating out we did this weekend we had a really yummy salad for dinner.

What else was up this weekend:
Bella went into heat :[ so her panties are back! And they are so cute, if only she liked them and would keep them on.

Samson is in love with her! He is acting completely different than normal, he is playing with toys that Bella plays with, kissing all over her and the weirdest part is Bella is loving it. Luckily we have another week to 10 days of easy time till we have to work super hard to keep them apart.

Since Bella is in heat she is sleeping in her crate, which she normally does not. She stays in her crate when we are gone in the kitchen but since she sleeps in our room at night we drag the crate to our room and have to move the beds to fit nicely so Samson has a HUGE bed that he is definitely taking advantage of.

Oh and no weekend would be complete without some cop action at the neighbors, did I say I CAN NOT WAIT TO MOVE!!

Happy Friday!

Warning, pictures of the pups overload!

Today started as a happy Friday for Bella and Samson when they had the lake all to themselves!

Samson is addicted to his ball and Bella is addicted to the bumper!

Catch Up - AGAIN!

Oh blogging, why is it so difficult for me to blog these days?!?!! I think about blogging and that I am going to do it that night and then that night ends and the blogging dilemma continues. I will say that this ends now, but who knows what the next few nights will bring.

What has been going on in our lives….

We started watching this new tv series, Frozen Planet. It is just like Planet Earth and completely fascinating! I love nature and it blows my mind what they are able to capture for us to see. The whole time I drive Michael crazy because I keep saying “How is this possible?!?”, “This is amazing!”, “I can’t believe they were able to film this” and tons more things that he just ignores. So if you have not seen an episode you should, it is a short series that will amaze you!

We have been going to the lake most evenings with the pups! It has been in the mid to high 80s in the afternoons so we have only been walking with them instead of running. It has been nice to spend time (the 4 of us) chatting about our day and watching the dogs play and swim while walking along the levee/trails. The lake is 7 miles from our house so going to the lake in the evenings to un-wind is perfect! Then we come home and make a healthy dinner! We have changed our diet and are feeling much better and have a lot more energy. A great change!

Michael has been working like a crazy man to finish his research for his thesis. The third time is the charm and everything is working itself out. He has a deadline and will be done before it! YAY! I am so proud of him and how hard he is working! I am lucky to be this mans wife! He has been applying to a few more jobs and praying that one will work out for us. God has a plan for us and we are waiting for Him to show us what is next!

We got the new iPad and I LOVE IT! We had gotten a Kindle Fire but I did not like it and became pretty insistent that I wanted to get an iPad instead. So we sold the Fire and got what I always wanted! It is our first apple product besides my phone and it is all I ever wanted! The HD screen is amazing and playing Draw Something is easy with a big screen!

This past weekend we went out shooting with our Sunday school class from church. It was lots of fun to spend time with great people and watch Michael kick some clay pigeon butt! The ranch we went to was about 20 miles outside College Station and the drive was beautiful! For those of you who have not seen Texas in the spring with wildflowers around every corner, you have to! It is beautiful!

We saw Hunger Games on Friday and we liked it! I did not read the book, of course, but Michael did. I am not addicted and will not be reading book 2, but I will watch the rest of the movies when they come out.

Tonight is a pretty calm night around our house. It is storming outside which is my favorite type of weather! It makes all of us really sleepy and relaxed so this is what is going on at my house tonight.

Bella doing what she does best! And look at Samson in the back. Aww!

Can I help you?

No more pictures mom!

And more chewing!

Sleepy girl

I will try my best to keep up with blogging! I promise!

Where have I been?!?!

Oh my! It is March! Time sure seems to be flying by and I can’t seem to stay on top of blogging. Hopefully that will change this month!

A little catch up time. Warning, this will be a wordy and not many pictures post.

We went back to Colorado over Valentines weekend! It was perfect. The snow was better than I could have imagined, I have to live here!!

We flew into Houston on Wednesday morning and got back to real life for two days before going back to Houston to watch my little sister swim at her conference meet. She did great!! She went a best time in everything she swam. It was so fun to watch her swim so well!

I also was a tag along with Michael and his brother to a fish store in downtown Houston. Michael has now gotten Andy into his hobby so we have many fish tanks in the Neisch households. I won’t lie, the fish store was actually a little fun!

The next weekend we went to Round Rock and spent time with friends. Michael’s best friends fiancĂ© was playing a double header in softball so we found our way to Belton and spent the day going to Mary Hardin-Baylor sporting events and eating local food. It was a fun day and a great weekend. We also celebrated my mother’s birthday! Her birthday was actually this past Friday, but we celebrated it early. We used her new green egg and bar-b-q’ed an amazing prime rib. I think my mom is a professional prime rib cooker and this new way makes it a lot easier and a lot quicker for my mom. Sadly no pictures of the delicious dinner we had.

This past weekend was our first calm weekend in over a month! In the past month we have gotten like 20 inches of rain so the grass is green and growing like crazy!! Literally the dogs could be in the backyard and they would not be able to see each other. Bella loved this because she could sneak up on Samson and then bolt away. So Michael cut the front and backyard grass and the pups watched their jungle disappear. We spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and going to the lake! We met a great dane named Hank that was literally bigger than me at the lake on Sunday. He weighed more than me and would have towered over me if he stood on his two legs. Samson could care less about Hank, he just wanted his ball thrown over and over, but Bella pretended that she could take him. Hank seemed to love playing with the brownies so maybe we will see him again! It was such a nice relaxing weekend!

What is new with us:

Michael and I have started running together. I love it! The only bad thing is my stride is shorter than Michael's and he wants to run with me so I slow him down. Maybe as I get into better shape it won’t be as bad, but right now I know I am slowing him down. We are running in the mornings before work till daylight savings time this weekend and then we are switching to running in the evenings after work with the dogs. We have gone 3 times now and can already tell a little difference with the dogs being a little less crazy in the evenings, and we will take all the less crazy we can get, especially from Ms. Bella.

Michael started applying for jobs!!! When we got home from Colorado Michael started tweeking his resume to get it up to date and started the job search. The plan is (hopefully the plan is haha) finish his thesis research by April 22nd to turn in his results for a conference he is presenting at. Write his thesis and defend by June and walk in August. Once he finishes his research he can basically get a full time job since all he will have left is writing. We are hoping he can start a job at the beginning on June :]

We started a couples bible study with a mentor couple from our Sunday school class going through the book of Mark. We are loving it and loving getting to know some more couples!

We have making tons of new recipes thanks to Pinterest and loving all of them. Explains why we have to run now haha.

That is basically a quick overview of what has been going on in our lives.

I know I said it was going to be a wordy post so if you read this far, sorry about that.
